We were lucky enough to be able to see Angel Moroni placed on top of the
Oquirrh Mountain Temple on Friday. The church doesn't publicize the event, but since
Okland is building the temple, Harmon knew when it was happening. It was a long process, but totally worth it. My kids will always remember that they were there when the Angel Moroni flew for the first time. Very cool experience.

Angel Moroni up close. They allowed the artist that made this Angel Moroni go up in the lift to help place it. I guess he is quite afraid of heights but decided he really wanted to go up.
Here is the temple without the angel. They had just lifted the steeple on an hour or so before Angel Moroni. I was surprised at how early in the construction process they put the angel on - I would have thought it would be the finishing touch. I guess it's quite a process grounding the angel to protect it from lightning.
